Job description Laborer Operator
Sugarcreek Township Stark County, located in Beach City, Ohio is currently
seeking a dependable Laborer Operator to join the team. Reporting to the Road
Superintendent and the Board of Trustees, the Laborer Operator will play an
important role in performing maintenance work and operating various equipment
for the upkeep, construction, repair, and maintenance of township roads, facilities,

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform basic and advanced manual labor to clear, maintain, and repair township roads, ditches, and culverts. This includes plowing snow, patching, and mowing.
- Drive, operate, and maintain township equipment including dump trucks, loaders, backhoes, mowing tractors, and chain saws.
- Assist the township Road Superintendent in performing the above activities and other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid State of Ohio Driver’s License.
- CDL-Class B with air brakes license required or the capability to obtain one within 6 months of hire.
- Willingness and ability to undergo a pre-employment background check and drug test.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Experience in road, storm pipe, and curb maintenance and repair.
- Background in public park maintenance, landscaping, and mowing.
- Experience operating snow removal and landscaping equipment.
Physical Requirements:
- This position involves frequent physical activity, including bending, lifting, carrying and operating heavy equipment.
- The ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions, including exposure to heat, cold, rain, and snow.
- Must have the physical strength and stamina to lift and move heavy objects, perform repetitive tasks, and work on uneven terrain.

General Working Conditions:
- Work hours may vary slightly, but are primarily from Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm.
- Laborer Operator must be available for snow removal and emergency duty on a 24/7 basis as required.
- Overtime pay is applicable.
